Senior College Counseling Position
Location: California Mosaic College Prep, an independent college counseling company based out of Los Angeles, is seeking Senior Counselors to join our growing team! Our aim is to provide students with individually tailored experiences that demystify the college admissions process, educate families, and empower students to find their unique voice. Ultimately, our goal is to stop the stress of the college application process. Senior Counselors • 10+ years of combined experience in college admissions and 1:1 college counseling. • Compensation: $75-$85/hour, depending on experience. Position Details + Requirements • Must be based in California. • Must have experience with the UC application system. • Part-time, remote roles with virtual student meetings. • Flexible schedules; counselors set their own hours and student caseloads. • Applicants can have additional work, including private clients or employment with other firms. Expectations • Have the skills and tools to effectively guide students. • Participate in team collaboration opportunities. • Stay informed about the evolving college admissions landscape. • Navigate student and family concerns with empathy and professionalism. • Ensure students meet deadlines through organized and timely communication. • Balance accountability with compassion in interactions with students. • Maintain timely communication with administrative team. Nice to Have • Experience with engineering, business, and/or arts conservatory programs. • Background working with students with learning disabilities/differences. • Financial aid/scholarship experience/awareness.
