Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role:
The Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer will be responsible for assessing cloud services and architecture, implementing automation tools and processes, and working closely with the development team to deploy and manage tools that support SDLC automation, configuration management, and release management. You will also lead the design, development, and expansion of our cloud infrastructure, establish and maintain methods and standards to ensure high-quality work, and communicate with stakeholders to identify requirements and solutions that address business challenges and opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Assess cloud services and architecture to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Implement automation tools and processes for automated code deployment (CI/CD)
Collaborate with the development team to deploy and manage tools that support SDLC automation, configuration management, and release management
Understand technical models with automation to support complex delivery across a wide range of digital and enterprise applications
Lead the design, development, and expansion of cloud infrastructure
Establish and maintain methods and standards to ensure high-quality work
Establish or follow prioritization processes to drive work with a sense of urgency
Communicate with stakeholders to identify requirements and solutions that address business challenges and opportunities
Act as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure, performing design reviews and consulting with teams to ensure design best practices
Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery processes
May perform other work duties as directed by Supervisors
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Knowledge of AWS Framework as a Service, automation tools like CloudFormation
Ability to understand AWS architecture, data sources, security technologies
Proficiency in AWS cloud networking resources (VPC, Internet Gateway, Security Groups, NACLs, NAT Gateway)
Knowledge of infrastructure as-code (IaC) and development tools
Skilled in deployment strategies involving Docker for containerization
Ability to understand monitoring and management of build and deployment processes and infrastructure
Ability to investigate services to ensure security best practices are followed
Ability to mentor and guide colleagues, including introducing new ideas and technologies
Ability to anticipate business needs and lead a team towards identifying and solving cross-functional issues
Skilled in automated testing solutions for unit testing, integration testing, and system testing
Experience with cloud networking between cloud providers, third-party vendors, and on-premises organizations
Talented engineering skill with deep knowledge in configuration of Enterprise DNS (Route 53), Internet Gateway, and Hosted Zones
Knowledge of network troubleshooting
Knowledge of AWS firewall implementation as a review point (central ingress/egress analysis)
Experience managing and maintaining multiple AWS accounts and dividing resources among them (Route 53 resolver shares)
Proficiency in building and maintaining GitOps pipelines using various platforms
Knowledge of implementing AWS PrivateLink End Point Services preferred
Knowledge of Cloud WAN strategy and implementation preferred
Experience working with Hybrid Connectivity and Palo Alto NextGen Firewalls (NGFW) preferred
Knowledge of DirectConnect and BGP routing preferred
