Senior Claim Consultant - Construction & Infrastructure
About the position Join Aon's Construction & Infrastructure claims team as a Senior Claim Consultant - Construction & Infrastructure based in Chicago. In this client-facing role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, managing and coordinating liability claims with precision and professionalism. You'll play a critical role in evaluating claim details, organizing case information, and ensuring timely communication and resolution. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chicago office. Aon is in the business of better decisions. Responsibilities • Program review for accurate reserving • Maximizing claims service and advocating for expanded view of coverage • Advocating for expedited claim resolution • Ensuring timely return of collateral • Identifying opportunities to reduce client's total cost of risk • Collaborating with carriers to reduce client experience modification factor • Working with risk control colleagues to ensure project safety • Collaboration with Aon resources for other claims and operational issues • Collaboration with claims and broking teams to identify optimal coverage forms and match client needs with appropriate coverage terms Requirements • 10+ years of experience working with Liability Claims, with a focus on Construction and/or Infrastructure clients in Illinois and throughout the Midwest • Proven client facing skills including effective presentations & communications • Effective working knowledge of carrier underwriting practices & processes • Proven leadership skills in working with teams and ability to work with clients and to successfully exceed client expectations • Proven organization and ability to work with others • Experience in resource deployment and utilization management • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levels • Successfully operates in a fast-paced driven environment that requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products Nice-to-haves • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent years of industry experience Benefits • 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions • Employee stock purchase plan • Consideration for long-term incentive awards at Aon's discretion • Medical, dental and vision insurance • Various types of leaves of absence • Paid time off, including 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year • 15 days of paid vacation per year • Paid sick leave as provided under state and local paid sick leave laws • Short-term disability and optional long-term disability • Health savings account • Health care and dependent care reimbursement accounts • Employee and dependent life insurance and supplemental life and AD&D insurance • Optional personal insurance policies • Adoption assistance • Tuition assistance • Commuter benefits • Employee assistance program that includes free counseling sessions • Two 'Global Wellbeing Days' each year Apply tot his job
