Job Description: What You'll Do As a Senior Business Risk Control Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing compliance and operational risk/control activities. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting risk assessments and implementing controls to manage operational, financial, and compliance risks. Developing and implementing job aids, tools, and processes to facilitate efficient execution of policies & procedures and risk & control identification. Executing control testing to ensure that controls are appropriately designed and identifying control or procedural gaps. Implementing third-party management risk activities and initiatives to support the business unit, ensuring all third parties undergo appropriate due diligence and monitoring. Managing and analyzing key risk metrics within the organization, identifying negative trends, and supporting business partners in root cause analysis and action planning. Acting as a key liaison for assigned teams during regulatory exams, internal compliance reviews, and internal audits, managing requests for information or documentation, and leading action planning activities for any findings. Analyzing data, providing insights on trends, making recommendations, and tracking remediation efforts. How You'll Make an Impact In this role, you will be instrumental in driving success by ensuring effective identification and implementation of controls, mitigating third-party risk, and managing key risk metrics. Your expertise will help in maintaining a robust risk management framework, supporting the business unit in achieving its objectives, and fostering a culture of compliance and risk awareness. Qualifications: What We're Looking For The Basics Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in financial services, Marketing, Compliance, Internal Audit Operations, or Vendor Management areas or related fields. (In lieu of education, 6+ years of experience in these areas can be considered.) Essential Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of compliance and operational risk management principles. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations. Excellent communication and liaison skills. Experience with risk assessments, control testing, and third-party risk management. Proficiency in operating office equipment and software applications. Ability to work in a remote environment with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the financial services industry. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
