Position Overview

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to serve as a key contributor to our rapidly growing retail media business. In this role, you will be essential for driving data-driven decision-making across the organization, working closely with cross-functional partners including Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams.

You will report directly to the Director of Business Intelligence and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our retail media platform.

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction and Aggregation

Identify and extract data from various internal and external sources, ensuring comprehensive data collection for analysis
Aggregate data from multiple platforms and databases into consolidated, reliable reports that drive business decisions
Develop and maintain automated data pipelines to streamline information flow across the organization
Ensure data consistency and accuracy across all reporting systems and dashboards


Data Visualization and Reporting

Develop intuitive and visually compelling dashboards and reports that effectively communicate key insights to stakeholders at all levels
Ensure accuracy and clarity in data presentation, enabling informed decision-making throughout the organization
Create executive-level presentations that translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations
Continuously improve visualization techniques to enhance data storytelling and stakeholder engagement
Maintain and optimize existing reports to ensure they remain relevant and valuable to business users


Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Science to optimize data collection, storage, and analysis processes
Provide expertise and guidance on data-related projects and initiatives across the organization
Act as a trusted advisor to business partners, helping them understand and leverage data for their strategic initiatives
Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across teams to drive organizational data literacy
Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to strategic planning sessions


Data Quality Assurance and Integrity

Execute rigorous quality assurance processes to maintain the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data used for insights and reporting
Proactively identify potential issues and recommend actions to mitigate risks
Implement data validation checks and monitoring systems to ensure ongoing data quality
Document data definitions, methodologies, and processes to ensure reproducibility and transparency
Collaborate with data engineering teams to address underlying data quality issues at the source


Advanced Analytics and Insights

Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth
Develop predictive models and statistical analyses to support strategic decision-making
Translate business questions into analytical approaches and deliver data-driven recommendations
Monitor key performance indicators and provide insights on campaign performance, audience behavior, and market trends


Required Qualifications


Minimum 4 years of experience in SQL with Big Query or similar relational database platforms
Minimum 4 years of experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms
Minimum 4 years of experience conducting data analysis and deriving actionable insights from complex datasets
Minimum 4 years of experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or equivalent) OR High School Diploma with 4 years of relevant professional experience
Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and perform data wrangling, cleaning, and transformation
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically and strategically


Preferred Qualifications


Understanding and hands-on experience working with digital media tech stack, including advertising platforms and programmatic technologies
Experience with Data Management Platforms (DMPs), Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs), and Supply-Side Platforms (SSPs)
Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or Adobe Marketing Cloud
Experience working in retail media, e-commerce, or digital advertising industries
Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in business analytics
Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across functional boundaries
Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools
Advanced Excel skills including VBA, macros, or complex formulas
