Position Overview
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to serve as a key contributor within our retail media division. This position reports directly to the Manager of Business Intelligence and serves as an essential role in driving data-informed decision-making processes across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for digging into complex datasets, uncovering meaningful insights, and translating those findings into actionable recommendations. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional partners including Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams to ensure our data infrastructure and analytical capabilities continue to evolve and meet the growing demands of our rapidly scaling business.
Key Responsibilities
Data Extraction and Analysis
Identify, extract, and aggregate data from various internal and external sources to create comprehensive, reliable reports that drive strategic decision-making
Design and implement efficient data pipelines that streamline the collection and processing of large-scale datasets
Perform ad-hoc analysis to answer critical business questions that may have significant implications for our strategic direction
Develop and maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies, and analytical processes to ensure reproducibility and transparency
Proactively identify data gaps and recommend solutions to improve data collection and quality
Data Visualization and Reporting
Develop intuitive and visually compelling dashboards and reports that effectively communicate actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Ensure accuracy and clarity in data presentation, enabling informed decision-making across various business units
Create executive-level presentations that translate complex data findings into clear, compelling narratives
Implement best practices in data visualization to maximize readability and impact of analytical deliverables
Maintain and optimize existing reporting infrastructure to ensure consistent, timely delivery of key metrics
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Science to optimize data collection, storage, and analysis processes
Serve as a trusted data advisor, providing expertise and guidance on data-related projects and initiatives
Facilitate knowledge sharing and data literacy across the organization
Partner with technical teams to ensure data infrastructure supports business requirements
Participate in cross-functional working groups and initiatives to drive organizational data maturity
Data Quality Assurance and Integrity
Execute rigorous quality assurance processes to maintain the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data used for insights and reporting
Implement data validation rules and monitoring mechanisms to identify potential issues before they impact business decisions
Conduct regular data audits to ensure consistency and quality across all data sources
Identify potential challenges and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks
Establish and enforce data governance standards within the analytics function
Required Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field; alternatively, a High School Diploma with 4+ years of relevant professional experience will be considered
SQL Expertise: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and Big Query or similar database platforms, with the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and work with large datasets
Data Visualization: Minimum 4+ years of experience with industry-standard visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or comparable platforms
Analytical Experience: Minimum 4+ years conducting comprehensive data analysis, including statistical analysis, trend identification, and insight generation
Microsoft Office Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and data analysis functions) and PowerPoint for creating impactful presentations
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business-friendly language
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity
Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven track record of identifying business problems and developing data-driven solutions

Experience working with digital media technology stacks, including advertising platforms, DSPs, DMPs, and SSPs
Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or Adobe Marketing Cloud
Knowledge of retail media networks, programmatic advertising, and e-commerce analytics
Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
Understanding of A/B testing methodologies and statistical significance testing
