As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in interacting with business units and other Systems area personnel to design, develop, and implement IT solutions that effectively support our clients. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business units and Systems area personnel to document requirements and design IT solutions within an Agile environment.
Perform solution analysis, technical discovery, solution design, development, and implementation to support business needs.
Partner with functional groups to clarify and document business requirements, use cases, and business rules.
Ensure clear and complete project requirements to deliver continuous business value.
Build partnerships with business and technical representatives to create a team atmosphere and solve problems.
Conduct structured interviews, create workflow diagrams, and perform gap analyses to identify areas for improvement.
Negotiate with business partners to identify phased approaches to attaining desired future states.
Document findings, formulate alternatives, and finalize recommendations.
Mentor team members, assist in cross-training, and improve technical skills.
Requirements:
At least 8 years of applicable business/solution analysis experience.
PC desktop software skills, including MS Office Product Suite and Visio.
Skilled in writing SQL queries.
Outstanding interpersonal skills with emphasis on pro-active brainstorming and debating dialogues.
Experience with interviewing, researching, and documenting findings.
High energy, positive thinking, and an assertive personality.
Strong leadership skills and knowledge of data mapping.
Agile experience and understanding of how technology can enhance the business environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Life Insurance applications.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
Ability to read XML and JSON data models.
ACORD and Web Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience.
