Senior Backend Engineer / Technical Lead (Linux & API)
Overview We are seeking an experiencedSenior Backend Engineer / Technical Leadwith expertise in Linux and API developmentto join our dynamic team. This role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of scalable backend solutions, ensuring robust performance and security. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development, microservices architecture, and API integration, with a focus on delivering high-quality, maintainable code within an Agile environment.Duties • Lead the development and maintenance of backend services using Linux, C#, Java, Python, and other relevant technologies. • Design and implement RESTful APIs, Web services, and Microservicesarchitectures to support various client applications. • Collaborate with front-end teams utilizing frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue.jsto ensure seamless integration between UI and backend systems. • Develop and optimize database schemas using bolthires SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB; perform complex queries, stored procedures, and data modeling.• Implement secure, scalable solutions following best practices in API security, including authentication, authorization, and encryption standards. • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain high code quality. • Drive continuous improvement through adoption of modern development practices such as bolthires/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control with tools like GitHub, Git, and TFS. • Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance on system architecture, coding standards, and best practices in OOP, Design Patterns, and system design using UML diagrams.• Contribute to project planning using Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, stand-bolthires, and retrospectives. Experience • Proven experience as a backend engineer or technical lead with at least 5 years of professional software development experience. • Extensive knowledge of Linuxoperating systems, shell scripting (Bash), and server management. • Strong proficiency in developing APIs using frameworks such as ASP.NET MVC/.NET Core, Node.js, or similar platforms. • Hands-on experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Reactor Angularis a plus for cross-team collaboration.• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWSor Azurefor deploying scalable applications. • Experience working within an SDLC environment utilizing tools like Visual Studio, Eclipse, or similar IDEs; version control systems like Gitor SVN; and build automation tools such as Jenkinsor equivalent. • Strong understanding of multithreading, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization techniques. • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is desirable. • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging complex issues across distributed systems.This position offers an opportunity to work on innovative projects within a collaborative environment that values technical excellence and continuous learning.
