This role involves designing and building scalable API solutions, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to impactful projects in a collaborative, distributed team environment. This position reports to the Team/Tech Lead.In this role, you’ll get to: Design and implement robust REST and GraphQL APIs for scalable and efficient integrations.Work with ORMs to manage complex database interactions effectively.Utilize AWS services such as Lambda to build and maintain cloud applications.Write and maintain comprehensive automated tests to ensure code quality.Partner with product teams, asking the right questions and providing well-thought-out design solutionsConduct code reviews to uphold high development standards.Mentor junior engineers, fostering technical growth and a culture of continuous learning.Participate in design reviews and contribute to key architectural decisions.Who you are and what you’ll need for this position: 5+ years of experience in Backend development with proficiency in Node.js, Python, REST, and GraphQL API design.Skilled in working with AWS services like Lambda for cloud-native development.Skilled in SQL databases and adept at using ORMs to simplify database operations.Good knowledge of best backend architecture practices Deep knowledge of how our used technology stack works and interoperatesExperienced in writing automated tests to maintain robust and reliable code.Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Quick to learn and adopt new technologies and tools.Excellent English communication skillsStrong work ethic and customer focusComfortable leveraging AI tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity.Confidence can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job.
