As a Backend Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in breaking monoliths into microservices, building new microservices at scale, and innovating production-level solutions to advanced performance issues. Key Responsibilities Design and implement scalable cloud systems by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Architects, Product Managers, Program Managers, UX designers, and Customer Sales. Leverage your expertise in distributed cloud systems and high availability to create high-volume data pipelining for policy scanning on public cloud ingested resources. Develop an architecture that scales while maintaining quality in environments with thousands of entities. Utilize the latest technologies in the market, including cloud infrastructure, serverless, containers orchestration, graph, and more. Enable complex relational queries and value rendering on resources scanned by managing a graph representation of resources and their relationships. Generate insights for users based on their data to improve their overall security posture using machine learning, open-source technologies, graph, and drift detection. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Computer Science degree or equivalent education/experience. 6+ years of experience building scalable cloud-based products, preferably on AWS. Extensive experience using Python and/or Golang. Strong architecture skills, with a focus on scalability and extensibility. DB knowledge (SQL, No SQL): MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB. Experience with backend frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI. Experience with live production systems at scale. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Terraform, Cloud Formation, etc. (advantageous). Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following skills and experience will give you a competitive edge: Experience with serverless technologies and containers orchestration. Knowledge of graph databases and their applications. Familiarity with machine learning and open-source technologies. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
