Essential Functions: Ability to analyze tax issues and come to conclusions Represent clients on IRS Audits Manage tax disputes and other complex tax matters Work closely with IRS, state and local government agencies on tax resolutions Work with clients to prevent and/or abate penalties (late filings, late payments, etc) Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality and application of professional and firm standards Meet time constraints and deadlines Possess technical knowledge sufficient to assist staff associates Preparation of complex domestic tax returns Participate in firm training courses to further develop technical skills Become proficient at tax research including a knowledge of the reference sources available to the firm Qualifications: CPA or EA required 3+ years of public accounting and/or the IRS Excellent oral/written communication skills Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure Ability to prioritize a heavy work load and remain organized Ability to work well in a team environment Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is: $90,000-$100,000 Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to education, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
