Your experience and influence will shape critical decisions, drive technical standards, and support continuous improvement across projects.This is a key role for someone who excels in architecture, leadership, and building confidence with stakeholders across large-scale, enterprise programs.Key ResponsibilitiesSolution ArchitectureOwn the end-to-end technical architecture across one or more large programs or portfoliosLead discovery and design workshops with customers to understand business and technical needsArchitect complex solutions across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and Guidewire Cloud PlatformDefine reusable design patterns conforming to best practices that support long-term maintainabilityAlign solutions with customer cloud strategy, data needs, performance requirements, and security standardsConfigure key components, including user interfaces, business rules, workflows, and entity modelsLeverages AI tools to drive productivity improvements and drives innovation in the application of AI to enhance the delivery of Guidewire’s products and servicesTechnical Leadership and GovernanceProvide technical direction and mentoring to Architects, Lead Consultants, and DevelopersReview and validate implementation designs and configurationsAnticipate technical risks and proactively design mitigation strategiesLead architectural governance processes for a functional / technical track to ensure consistent qualitySupport Guidewire and customer teams in troubleshooting complex or systemic issuesStrategic Client and Stakeholder EngagementAct as a trusted technical advisor to customer architecture and leadership teamsPresent technical solutions and roadmaps to senior stakeholders with clarity and confidenceSupport pre-sales and proposal efforts by reviewing estimates, and architecture viabilityCollaborate with Product, R&D, and Cloud teams to resolve product questions and surface roadmap needsInternal Impact and EnablementContribute to internal architecture standards, playbooks, and reusable solution assetsMentor junior Architects and help develop technical leadership across the PS organisationParticipate in architecture forums and knowledge-sharing sessions across regionsRepresent Professional Services in cross-functional strategic initiatives or internal pilotsKPIs & Success MetricsArchitectural Excellence – Solutions meet performance, security, and scalability goals across large or complex programsStakeholder Confidence & Influence – Trusted advisor status with clients, evidenced by positive feedback and solution adoptionDelivery Support & Risk Mitigation – Reduced delivery issues due to effective oversight and early risk identificationKey Skills & ExperienceExperience in enterprise software architecture, with relevant delivery lead experienceDeep expertise in Guidewire or similar products and architecture (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter)Strong command of Java, Gosu, REST APIs, cloud-native architectureProven ability to design and scale solutions across multiple workstreams or regionsSkilled in leading architectural governance and code/design review processesExperience in translating business needs into long-term technology strategiesEffective communicator with customer program management, architects, and development teamsProficiency in Agile delivery and hybrid cloud implementation strategiesInvolvement in pre-sales, including reviewing architectural viabilityAbility to lead and inspire others through collaborationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldPreferred Skills & ExperienceMultiple Guidewire certifications, including Cloud or Architect credentialsExperience leading multi-region or multi-vendor delivery programsExpertise in Guidewire Cloud PlatformKnowledge of insurance enterprise systems and core domain processesExperience leading digital transformation or cloud migration programsFamiliarity with enterprise security, compliance, and performance architectureStrong DevOps awareness and cloud automation experienceContributions to internal frameworks, accelerators, or reusable architecture assetsAbout GuidewireGuidewire is the platform P&C insurers trust to engage, innovate, and grow efficiently.
