Senior Application Developer, Front End

ABOUT THE ROLE:The Senior Front End Application Developer role is responsible for designing and implementing the user-facing aspect of digital platforms, such as websites, across multiple device sizes. This will include creating engaging and interactive user interfaces that provide a seamless user experience and requires a foundational understanding of front-end app development, programming languages, tools (i.e., task runners), and delivery models (i.e., CI/CD). The incumbent will have a strong ability to work collaboratively with technical stakeholders such as Applications Development Engineering (Back-End) and non-technical stakeholders such as project managers, business analysts, and end-users, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and solutions. They will also possess strong business and communication skills to talk both technically and functionally about products and solutions, and an understanding of how to configure platforms to achieve goals for the company.WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO:Develop and maintain user interfaces for digital platforms using programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptCollaborate closely with back-end developers to integrate front-end functionality with server-side logic and databasesBuild reusable code and libraries for future use and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalabilityEnsure the seamless performance of applications on various devices and browsersConsult and collaborate with UX/UI designers and users to ensure interfaces are visually appealing and functionalCommunicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders, including project teams, business analysts, and end-usersConsume web services and APIs to integrate data and functionality from external sources, allowing for more robust and dynamic platformsStay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to front-end developmentThis position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa.This position has a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and the option for working remotely two days.Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised.
