Role: Senior Apigee Consultant / Architect RemoteJob Summary:We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Apigee Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and management of API solutions using Google Apigee. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in API proxy development, policy enforcement, and Apigee platform operations including migration, backup, and restore processes. This role requires a strong understanding of API lifecycle management and hands-on experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X.Key Responsibilities:Take ownership of application-level responsibilities including API proxy validation and policy checks.Design, develop, and manage API proxies using Apigee Edge or Apigee X.Lead and execute Apigee platform migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.Implement and manage backup and restore strategies for Apigee configurations and proxies.Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure API governance and compliance.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API performance, security, and integration.Document API specifications, policies, and operational procedures.Required Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience as an Apigee Consultant or similar role.Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X.Expertise in API proxy development, policy enforcement, and OAuth2, JWT, traffic management, etc.Experience with Apigee migration, including planning, execution, and validation.Proficiency in backup and restore processes for Apigee configurations.Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and API security best practices.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with CI/CD integration for API deployments.Knowledge of Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, or hybrid cloud environments.Familiarity with API monitoring and analytics tools.Employers have access to artificial intelligence language tools (“AI”) that help generate and enhance job descriptions and AI may have been used to create this description.
