Senior Accounting Specialist - Contract
Looking for a motivated Senior Accountant in the Pasadena, CA area for a temporary position.
About this position...
You will be managing the company's financials on QuickBooks, AR/AP, minor purchasing duties, and also following up with vendors prior to dates of service.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, have a willingness to learn new skills, and be a self-starter who can multitask.
Companys customers span industries and policy issues such as transportation, health care, social equity, restorative justice, housing and homelessness, education, economic development, and more.
Job Duties:
Day-to-day recording of financial transactions
Completing and mailing bills, contracts, policies, invoices, or checks
Maintaining and updating filing, supply inventory, and databases
Interfacing and coordinating with vendors
Computing, recording, & proofreading data & other info such as records or reports
Manage budget, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to communicate extremely well, both verbally and in writing
Must have strong attention to detail, organizational, and administrative skills
Strong financial acumen / QuickBooks experience is mandatory
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and develop business procedure templates
Must be able to competently use Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and have a quick-to-learn acumen for other software platforms
Job Location: Pasadena, CA
Work Schedule: Hybrid - 2 days in the Pasadena office & 3 days working from home
Pay Rate: $35 an hour
