Senior Accounting Manager (Remote, must be located on the East Coast)
Our client is a successful and growing Financial Technology company and they are seeking a 4-6+ year accounting professional to join their team as an Accounting/Senior Accounting Manager. This is a remote opportunity offering between 150-170K base, depending on level and relevant experience.
• Candidates must be located on the East Coast*
Responsibilities:
• Lead the full monthly close process and drive improvements toward a 5–7 day close cycle
• Manage revenue recognition and ensure compliance with ASC 606 across subscription contracts
• Prepare timely financial statements, management reports, and board materials
• Oversee account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Partner with FP&A on variance analysis and provide insights to leadership
• Optimize the accounting tech stack to improve efficiency and automation
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Build scalable accounting processes to support company growth
• Support audit preparation, investor reporting, and strategic finance initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align accounting practices with business operations and strengthen financial processes and controls
Qualifications:
• 4–6+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or within a high-growth company; SaaS experience preferred
• CPA preferred
• Strong expertise in revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Experience with modern ERP, billing, and expense management systems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders
