Senior Accountant (WFH)

The Senior Accountan t role will offer a great mix of hands-on accounting work and financial analysis. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a strong technical accounting background, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have QuickBooks Online experience and advanced Excel experience Key Responsibilities: Accounting routine: o Process Accounts Payable (AP) transactions, ensuring timely payments o Customer Invoicing and AR management o Daily bank reconciliation and cash reporting o Bi-monthly Payroll processing (ADP) o Excel reporting General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and accurately reported. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Month-End Close: Prepare the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial data Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations and support audit preparations Tax Preparation & Reporting: Support the preparation of tax returns and filings for corporate taxes, sales taxes, and other relevant taxes Financial Analysis: Provide insights into financial performance through detailed analysis of variances, trends, and forecasts Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment between financial goals and business operations. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus). Experience: o Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance QuickBooks Online experience Advanced Excel experience Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, and accounting regulations Excellent verbal and written communication skills A high level of attention to detail Ability to solve accounting issues and offer actionable insights Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Originally posted on Himalayas
