Who We NeedWe are looking for a hard-working and intellectually curious individual to join our Finance team as a Financial Accountant. You will play a key role in the Accounting & Finance department, helping to drive the monthly close process and improve financial planning & analysis. The focus of this job is to produce high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures.Job DutiesRevenueOwn the combined entity general ledger revenue cycleSubscription based accounting MRR analyticsGeneral ledger and subledger reconciliations includingAccounts ReceivableFixed assetsForeign entity subsidiary accountingIntercompany Sales & use tax filings, Canada GST filingsProject work as requiredSpecifics IncludeResponsible for day to day entry of accounting transactions in a timely and accurate mannerDrive transactional accounting inputs across key modules Accounting ticket triage and applicable reporting for all accounting related ticketsAddress and close basic accounting requests from customers, vendors, and internal staff Participate in the month end close process Responsible for the design, implementation, and completion of all schedules Manage and reconcile inventory counts to the balance sheet. Provide reconciled monthly inventory report to the Director of Finance as part of the closeResponsible for completing accurate US and Canadian tax transactions to ensure overall complianceManage all intercompany transactions and reconciliations Lead US state tax auditsLead year end audit field workComplete weekly payment run processing Be a key member of the accounting team by assisting with other responsibilities, including the participation in special projects and other ad hoc analysisKnowledge and SkillsHighly driven and results orientedCollaborative team problem solving skillsStrong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting functions, emphasis on revenue and intercompany transactionsAbility to work effectively in a complex, fast moving organization, satisfying the needs of multiple stakeholders, while managing competing prioritiesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-departmentallyExcellent inter-personal relationship skills and the ability to work with individuals of all levelsIntegrity to handle sensitive and/or confidential informationEducation and Work Experience3-5 years of relevant accounting experienceCPA strongly preferred Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting systems required or similar ERP experienceProficient in Microsoft Excel and Word applicationsExperience in a high tech, rapidly growing, and/or SAAS environment is an asset
