I’m looking for a reliable and thoughtful beta reader to provide honest, constructive feedback on my romance fiction manuscript (approx. [word count, e.g., 70,000 words]). Your role is to read the manuscript as a typical reader would and share your insights on what works, what doesn’t, and how the story flows overall.
Responsibilities include:
• Reading the manuscript in full
• Offering big-picture feedback on plot, pacing, character development, dialogue, and overall engagement
• Noting any confusing, inconsistent, or slow sections
• Pointing out parts that stood out positively (what you loved or found impactful)
• Completing a short questionnaire or summary I’ll provide after reading
• Providing respectful, honest feedback — no need for editing or proofreading
Ideal Candidate:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to express opinions clearly
