Seeking a Long-term Sweet Romance Ghostwriter (Clean/Wholesome, Trope-Driven) — Weekly Milestones
Hi! I write and publish clean, wholesome Sweet Romance with strong tropes, cozy emotional payoff, and zero to little spice. I’m building a catalog for the long haul and I’m looking for a reliable, experienced ghostwriter who loves this genre and wants an ongoing partnership.
Think: warm, uplifting, can’t-put-it-down Sweet Romance—funny, feel-good, and full of charming banter. Trope-forward (we lean into reader-favorite tropes), with heartfelt character arcs and a guaranteed happily ever after. I will provide the themes/tropes, and we’ll collaborate on the plot + outline before drafting.
Project scope (3 books)
Book 1: 10,000 words
Book 2: 30,000 words
Book 3: 40,000 words
Total budget: $800 for all three books.
How payment works (weekly milestones)
We’ll move through the books in weekly milestones (10k–20k words/week) and you’ll be paid through Upwork milestones as each week’s words are delivered.

Setting + character continuity notes (if relevant)
Fast feedback + clear direction
A collaborative, kind working relationship
What I expect from you
Fluent in English (Sweet Romance tone)
Comfortable writing at least 15k words/week
Strong with structure, pacing, and trope execution
Confident writing believable character arcs and emotional beats (growth, vulnerability, satisfying payoff)
Comfortable writing light humor and banter (laugh-out-loud moments welcome).
Able to produce:
a plot summary
a chapter-by-chapter outline
a clean first draft that matches the plan
Communicative and dependable (quick check-ins and clear timelines)
100% original work only
No plagiarism, no recycled content, nothing shared/sold to any other client.
Quality + revisions
I care about quality and polish. If revisions are needed, we’ll approach them collaboratively — and revision work will be compensated.
Process
Interviews: I’ll invite selected applicants to a short Upwork call to confirm fit and align on expectations.
Contract + NDA required
Start with Book 1 (10k) to make sure we’re a great match, then continue into the 40k books
