I’m a U.S.-based CPA looking for seasonal tax preparation support for the 2026 tax season.
This role is 100% entry-level data entry using Drake Tax. No client communication is required.
Scope of Work
Approximately 150 tax returns
About 85% individual returns
About 15% business returns
Roughly 90% are returning clients, rolling over from 2024 to 2025 in Drake
Client source documents and information will be provided through TaxDome
Drake Tax is hosted via Verito
Work Schedule & Hours
There is no requirement to work U.S. business hours. Work can be completed on your own schedule, as long as deadlines are met.
Proposed retainer hours:
Jan 19 – Jan 31: 10 hours (2 weeks)
Feb 1 – Feb 7: 15 hours (1 week)
Feb 8 – Apr 4: 20 hours/week (8 weeks)
Apr 5 – May 2: 15 hours/week (4 weeks)
May 3 – May 30: 10 hours/week (4 weeks)
Compensation
Hourly rate: $8.00 USD
After May, we can discuss keeping a minimum monthly retainer of 5–10 hours so the contractor remains active and available to assist again next tax season.
Ideal Candidate
Comfortable with repetitive data entry
Detail-oriented and organized
Prior exposure to tax software is a plus (Drake experience preferred but not required)
Reliable and able to meet deadlines
