Scrum Master (Software Development) - Remote Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team at Lexipol, a leading provider of market-leading content and technology for law enforcement, fire, EMS, corrections, and local government professionals. As a Scrum Master, you will play a vital role in facilitating the scrum process and ensuring the team's success in delivering high-quality software products.
About the Role
In this role, you will serve as a servant-leader for our software development teams, guiding and coaching them in adopting and implementing agile principles and scrum practices. You will facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and progress tracking. Your goal will be to foster a collaborative environment that promotes commitment, predictability, transparency, self-organization, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate Agile Process: Guide and coach software development teams in adopting and implementing agile principles and scrum practices
Team Support: Support the scrum team in achieving their objectives by removing obstacles or impediments hindering progress
Agile Process Management: Ensure the team adheres to scrum practices and processes, and continuously improve them as needed
Collaboration and Communication: Facilitate meetings to promote understanding, alignment, and decision-making
Project Management Leadership: Drive timely completion of projects through meeting project milestones and effective management of risk
Requirements
5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master
5+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams creating software using scrum methodologies
Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and inspire teams, promote collaboration, and resolve conflicts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving results and delivering high-quality products
