Scrum Master, PM – Data Platform, Databricks
Job Description: • Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives • Establish and manage project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across data initiatives • Collaborate closely with data engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders • Oversee development workflows within the Databricks environment and ensure adherence to data engineering best practices • Facilitate cross-functional communication and resolve blockers to maintain project momentum • Drive standardization and governance across data processes, documentation, and quality checks • Coordinate releases, manage sprint metrics, and report project status to leadership • Support data strategy execution and assist teams in aligning architecture and solutions with long-term objectives • Manage team capacity, priorities, and work assignments within data-focused projects. Requirements: • 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager within the data or cloud domain • Strong experience supporting data engineering, data analytics, or data platform teams • Hands-on experience with DataBricks workflows and pipeline management • Solid understanding of AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, or related data components • Experience managing teams working within a Databricks environment • Strong understanding of data strategy, data management, ETL processes, and cloud-based data architectures • Proven ability to manage stakeholders, run Agile processes, and deliver complex technical projects • Certifications such as CSM, PMP, PMI-ACP, or cloud/data certifications are a plus • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
