Scrum Master (f/m/x) (Wien, AT, 1190)

Remote Full-time
We are looking for a senior agile leader to drive delivery in the Credit Cards Tribe. You will orchestrate a complex ecosystem involving 7 strategic vendors and critical internal streams. This is not a junior facilitation role; we need a "Delivery Engine" who can manage cross-organizational dependencies, enforce strict process discipline, and protect the development teams from unplanned scope creep, allowing them to focus on executing our strategic asset roadmap.

Your mission:

Enforce Process Discipline: Rigorously uphold a "Definition of Ready," ensuring no work starts without clear, documented requirements in Jira.
Manage Vendor Alignment: Actively coordinate with external partners (Core Banking, Card Production, IT Service Providers) to ensure timely status updates and proactive blocker removal.
Protect Team Capacity: Shield developers and BAs from ad-hoc requests and unplanned operational demands by channeling all requirements through the official Backlog Refinement process.
Facilitate Core Events: Lead high-efficiency Dailies, Planning, and Retrospectives with a focus on output and resolving impediments, rather than just status reporting.
Visualize Dependencies: Maintain a clear view of cross-stream dependencies (e.g., Backend APIs vs. Frontend releases) and flag risks to the Tribe Leadership immediately.
Drive Velocity: Track team metrics (Cycle Time, Velocity) to identify bottlenecks in the end-to-end delivery chain and propose continuous process improvements.
Coordinate Releases: Collaborate with the Tech Lead and Delivery Manager to ensure the release train meets all governance, security, and operational gates.
Resolve Conflicts: Mediate between technical and business stakeholders when requirements are unclear, ensuring a constructive solution focused on delivery.
Support Tooling: Maintain high data quality in Jira and Confluence to ensure accurate reporting for management.

Core Competencies:

Senior Agile Experience: in depth understanding of Scrum Master role in a complex, enterprise environment (Banking, FinTech, or Regulated Industries preferred).
Vendor Management: Experience working in multi-vendor setups or with distributed/offshore teams is highly valued.
Jira Mastery: Advanced knowledge of Jira (Workflows, JQL, Dashboards) to enforce process through tooling.
Assertiveness: You are comfortable pushing back on senior stakeholders when necessary to protect the Sprint Goal and ensure realistic planning.
Tech-Savvy: You understand the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) well enough to distinguish between technical blockers and organizational impediments.
Certification: PSM II, CSM, or equivalent is expected. Knowledge of Scaling Frameworks (LeSS/SAFE) is a plus.
Language: Business fluent English is mandatory; German is highly valued.

What’s in it for you:

Work-Life-Balance: Flexible hours, work-from-home options from Austria, and 30 days/year remote work from any EU country.
Global community: 75+ nationalities, English as the company language, and work permit support. Our teams thrive on collaboration and mutual respect.
Career growth: We believe in continuous learning and proactive career development. Take on challenging work that stretches your abilities, attend trainings, and use new technologies to make a lasting impact.
Stay healthy: Subsidized canteen, well-being programs, check-ups, and sport allowances.
Save money: Discounts, exclusive banking terms, and a free public transport pass.
Family support: Child allowances, gender-neutral parental leave, bilingual company kindergarten, and holiday childcare.
Competitive salary: Starting at EUR 60.000, gross p.a. excluding overtime, with market-compliant overpayment based on experience and qualifications. We are happy to discuss your actual salary in person.
