Job Description
The Science Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with state standards for middle school science. The teacher will create a dynamic classroom environment that encourages inquiry, exploration, and critical thinking. The ideal candidate will be adept at differentiating instruction and using technology to enhance student learning.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related science field
Valid teaching certification for middle-level science (or eligibility to obtain one)
Classroom teaching experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
Commitment to inclusive education and student-centered learning
Ability to integrate STEM and digital tools in instruction
Responsibilities
Deliver age-appropriate science instruction aligned with curriculum standards
Design engaging labs, experiments, and interactive activities
Assess student understanding using a variety of formative and summative tools
Collaborate with grade-level and science department colleagues
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff
Maintain accurate records and prepare progress reports
