School Social Worker (Remote)

Parallel is hiring remote School Social Workers to join our nationwide team of dedicated clinicians. In this role, you'll play a key part in helping students succeed by delivering social work services and working with mental health professionals on psycho-educational evaluations. What You’ll Be Doing • Provide both direct and indirect social work services to students. • Collaborate with clinical teams to develop individualized treatment plans or IEPs with social work-specific objectives. • Offer guidance to school staff on cultural, family, and social influences that impact student behavior. • Conduct mental health assessments and develop behavioral support strategies. • Support parents and caregivers to help students adjust to school settings. • Assist with behavior management, train staff, and provide hands-on support as needed. What You’ll Need • LMSW-CC • Full Approval for School Social Worker or Professional School Social Worker Certificate • At least one year of full-time, on-site school social work experience (not including internships) • Prior remote social work experience is a plus • Familiarity with the National School Social Work Practice Model • Experience with MTSS, counseling, and psycho-social evaluations • Strong communication skills to work effectively with diverse student populations • Comfortable using virtual meeting platforms for tele-health services • A secure, private home workspace with a dependable computer, webcam, and internet connection • Availability during standard school hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM); ideally at least 15 hours/week • Multilingual abilities are a bonus!
