Job Description: Blazer Jobs, in partnership with the local school district, is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified School Social Worker (SW) for a full-time position during the 2023-2024 school year in Barrington, IL. If you are passionate about supporting students' social, emotional, and academic success, we invite you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address social and emotional challenges
Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to support students' social and emotional well-being
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address students' needs and promote positive behavior
Provide crisis intervention and support to students and families as needed
Advocate for students' rights and access to resources
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other student support team meetings
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work or related field
State Licensure as a Social Worker (LSW or LCSW)
Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or mental health setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
