Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for a full-time role within school districts in the Bloomingdale, IL area. This position is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to provide essential health services and ensure the well-being of students in a supportive school environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of chronic health conditions.
Conduct health screenings and maintain comprehensive health records for all students.
Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with special health needs.
Monitor and manage communicable diseases within the school, following guidelines from the local health department.
Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics such as wellness, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support students health and academic needs.
Participate in emergency response planning and provide first aid and emergency care as required.
Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations, including privacy and confidentiality laws.
Requirements:
Must meet all Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) requirements for Registered Nurses.
Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Experience in pediatric or school nursing is preferred.
Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to handle a variety of health issues.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
