School-Based Social Worker, Remote/Virtual Available in Ann Arbor, MI
Blazer Jobs is seeking a fully licensed Virtual School Social Worker to support a partnering school district in Flint, MI for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a remote, full-time, 1099 contract position running from approximately August 29, 2025 to June 12, 2026.
Position Overview:
The Virtual Social Worker will provide intervention services to special education students through teletherapy platforms. Services may be delivered in small groups or one-on-one, and you’ll collaborate regularly with IEP teams and school staff to ensure student success. Caseloads may include K–12 students, with assignments based on the district’s current needs.
Requirements:
• Must reside in Michigan
• Master’s degree in Social Work
• Michigan Department of Education (MDE) certification: Full Approval, valid School Social Worker Certificate, or SSW 310 letter with an in-progress MDE application
• Active MI State Social Work License through LARA
• Experience providing school-based or teletherapy services is strongly preferred
Important Notes:
• This is a 1099 contract position
• No benefits are included with this role
• Candidates must have reliable technology, a secure workspace, and the ability to work independently
