An opportunity is available for a skilled Audiologist to support K-12 students in Oakland, CA, on a contract basis for the current school year. This role involves working directly within a school setting to assess, identify, and manage hearing and auditory processing issues, ensuring students receive the resources and support they need to succeed academically and socially. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive audiological evaluations, fitting and servicing hearing aids, collaborating with educators and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and providing counseling and guidance related to hearing health. The ideal candidate will be proactive in monitoring student progress and implementing intervention strategies tailored to each student's needs. Qualifications and desired experience: β€’ State licensure as an Audiologist β€’ Expertise in pediatric audiology and experience working with school-aged children β€’ Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, teachers, and support staff β€’ Familiarity with educational laws and regulations related to hearing accommodations β€’ Ability to manage caseload efficiently in a dynamic school environment Location: Oakland, California This contract role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact by enhancing students’ auditory health and educational experiences.
