Processes all necessary registration information and educate patient families of their financial obligations.Essential Functions:Schedules appointments via incoming telephone calls per Central Scheduling protocols and facilitate intake process for appropriate triage utilizing CHW technology.Provide pre-registration support for scheduled services per department guidelines.Discusses potential financial obligations with parent.Educates parent guardian or patient on managed care process and required authorization needed per CHW policies and managed care contractors. Updates insurance information for accuracy and verifies current/ future eligibilityPlace outbound calls to patient families to schedule and register appointment via work lists found in work queues.Education:High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) requiredExperience:1+ years Customer service experience requiredExperience in registration and/or scheduling preferredEpic experience preferredCall center experience preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to serve a variety of people in a fast paced call center environmentAbility to make decisions based on established clinic protocols preferred.Excellent organization and prioritizing skills necessary to work in a fast paced multi-functioned department preferred.Proficient data entry skills with accuracy and speedRequired for All Jobs:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be requested in the performance of this job.Employment is at-will.
