SAP/ OpenText DMS Migration Specialist
Job Summary
The SAP/OpenText DMS Migration Specialist will lead document and attachment migration efforts from SAP Content Server, ArchiveLink, SAP DMS, and file systems to OpenText DMS.
This role requires strong expertise in SAP document linkages, business object relationships, metadata validation, and post-migration quality assurance.
The specialist will collaborate with multiple technical teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and successful migration activities within large SAP transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
• Migrate documents and attachments from SAP Content Server, ArchiveLink, SAP DMS, and file systems to OpenText DMS.
• Analyze source repositories, document structures, and metadata requirements.
• Ensure correct linkage of migrated documents to SAP business objects such as materials, BOMs, change records, and PLM objects.
• Validate document completeness, integrity, metadata accuracy, and version history after migration.
• Support testing cycles, cutover activities, and issue resolution during migration phases.
• Apply document retention, archival, security, and compliance policies throughout migration activities.
• Collaborate closely with SAP PLM, Basis, DVM, Security, Data Migration teams, and OpenText vendors to ensure seamless execution.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience performing SAP document and attachment migrations.
• Hands-on experience with OpenText DMS and SAP integration.
• Experience migrating content from SAP Content Server, ArchiveLink, SAP DMS, and file systems.
• Solid understanding of SAP document linkages and business object relationships.
• Experience working in ECC to S/4HANA programs or large-scale SAP transformation initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with additional SAP or OpenText tools that support data and document migration.
