Salesforce Quality Assurance Engineer with a Secret or Public Trust (Remote US East Coast)
About the position
ICF seeks a skilled Salesforce Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of a mission-critical Salesforce-based SaaS solution for the US Department of Homeland Security. The QA Engineer will develop and execute test plans, validate system functionality, and ensure compliance with federal security standards. Job Location: Remote work is authorized. Must support US Eastern time zone working hours.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate Salesforce-based system functionality, workflows, and integrations.
ā¢ Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing to ensure the solution meets stakeholder requirements and federal compliance standards.
ā¢ Validate data migration from legacy systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness.
ā¢ Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements, user stories, and system workflows to design effective test strategies.
ā¢ Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
ā¢ Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews) to provide quality assurance insights and align testing with sprint goals.
ā¢ Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate training materials to ensure usability and adoption.
ā¢ Create and maintain QA documentation, including test results, defect reports, and quality metrics, for gate reviews and project deliverables.
ā¢ Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and coverage.
Requirements
ā¢ 3+ years as a Quality Assurance Engineer developing, documenting, and executing application test plans and scripts for software development projects.
ā¢ 1+ years working on a large Salesforce implementation.
ā¢ 4-year bachelor's degree required by contract
ā¢ 3+ years of experience and proven proficiency with Agile project management tools (Jira) and Microsoft Office Suite.
ā¢ 1+ years of experience delivering user training or creating technical documentation.
ā¢ Candidate must have a Public Trust or an Active Secret clearance
ā¢ U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements
ā¢ Candidate must reside and be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.
ā¢ Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) of the last five (5) years.
Nice-to-haves
ā¢ Experience testing Salesforce solutions for federal government clients, particularly DHS or DoD.
ā¢ Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance testing and ATO processes.
ā¢ Experience in testing compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
ā¢ Experience with automated testing tools for Salesforce environments.
ā¢ Prior experience delivering user training or creating technical documentation.
ā¢ Highly effective analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
ā¢ Demonstrated critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to produce polished and well-organized written deliverables.
ā¢ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with team members and federal clients.
