This role involves understanding customer requirements, presenting technical solutions, and demonstrating how Tintri products or services can meet those needs. The Presales Engineers in the Tintri Business Unite collaborate closely with Tintri sales and channel sales teams to drive revenue growth and build strong customer relationships.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop an in-depth understanding of Tintri products and services and stay up to date with industry trends and technologies.Engage with potential clients to assess their technical requirements and business challenges.Create and deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and proposals that showcase the value of the Tintri offerings.Collaborate with the Tintri product development team to tailor solutions to meet specific customer needs, ensuring alignment with technical capabilities.Provide pre-sales technical support, answering customer inquiries, and addressing concerns about product functionality and compatibility.Train the sales teams and channel partners on the technical aspects of Tintri products and services, enabling them to effectively communicate benefits to customers.Collaborate with customers to design and execute PoCs to validate the effectiveness of proposed solutions.Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including proposals, case studies, and technical specifications.Stay informed about competitors' offerings and market trends to effectively position the company's products or services.Provide reporting and feedback on customer accounts and field activities to Sales, Product Management, and Engineering.Assist in managing customer relationship post-sale, including strategy to close repeat business.Skills, Qualifications and ExperienceProven experience in a technical role, such as software engineering, system administration, or technical support.Good understanding of VMWare, Hyper-V and Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)Knowledge of the storage industry (Pure, NetApp, Nutanix)Basic understanding of Databases (SQL, Oracle)Basic understanding of Backup software (Veeam, Commvault)Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-friendly language.Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.Familiarity with sales processes and the ability to work collaboratively with sales teams.Willingness to travel for customer meetings or demonstrations.Originally posted on Himalayas
