What You Will Do:
As a Sales Specialist Millwork at Lowe's, you are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by understanding and fulfilling customer needs. This includes:
Ā Providing friendly and professional assistance to customers, ensuring their needs are understood to offer the best products and services for their projects.
Ā Maintaining showroom readiness by ensuring displayed merchandise meets high standards, operates correctly during demonstrations, and accurately represents current product offerings.
Ā Practicing safe work habits, including the proper operation of store equipment.
The Sales Specialist Millwork acts as an expert in explaining product specifications and features to customers, with the aim of closing sales. They offer consultative services to ensure customer satisfaction and are accountable for executing orders and projects within their focus area. While this role doesn't require regular travel, occasional travel may be necessary for meetings, trainings, or supporting neighboring stores.
What We're Looking For:
Ā Hourly Full Time: Generally scheduled for 39 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility required for morning, afternoon, and evening shifts any day of the week.
Ā Physical capability to perform tasks that may involve prolonged standing, sitting, and other job-related activities, including lifting weights of up to 25 pounds without assistance.
What You Need To Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
Ā High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ā Either 1 year of external experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ā 1 year of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order Sales.
Ā 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs or plans.
Ā 2 years of experience providing customer service, resolving complaints, greeting customers, answering phones, building relationships, and following up on orders or installs.
Ā 1 year of experience promoting product-related services and plans such as installation, delivery, credit financing, or extended protection plans.
Ā 2 years of experience in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
Ā 1 year of employment with Lowe's as a Sales Specialist.
Ā 1 year of experience in a trade directly related to Millwork.
If the state or local municipality requires a salesperson license for this position, obtaining the necessary license within sixty (60) days of starting employment is mandatory.
