For more information on ARDx, please visit www.alere.com.The Opportunity We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Sales Specialist to join our diagnostics team, supporting either the Western Cape regions of South Africa. This role is central to driving sales, shaping markets, and building strategic partnerships in the public health and diagnostics sectors.WHAT WILL YOU DO? Drive sales growth in assigned territory, meeting quarterly and annual targets.Develop and implement short- and long-term sales strategies.Generate new business opportunities and maintain high-level client relationships.Conduct market research and provide insights on industry and product trends.Support marketing and commercial activities to promote diagnostic products.Manage sales administration, customer service, invoicing, and credit collections.Ensure timely order processing and stock availability for customers.Maintain company standards and compliance procedures.Provide field-based support to commercial partners to grow product sales.Assess current and future product opportunities and distribution channels.Prepare and present annual business plans to the African sales team.Introduce new and improved products into the region as directed.Advise on Public-Private Partnerships and funding opportunities.Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Quality teams.Key Customers: MOH, tertiary institutions, laboratories, funders, implementing partners, and industry stakeholdersQualifications:Education: Tertiary Qualification in Health/ life ScienceExperience: 3–5 years in industry/commercial sales role ideally in diagnostics or Medical (diagnostics/public health preferred), having experience with the Ministry of Health/ Department of Labour and/or Public health is essentialTechnical Knowledge: Infectious diseases, diagnostics industry, health technologyStrategic Skills: Experience in Public-Private Partnerships and forming strategic alliancesCompetencies: Strategic thinking, resilience, customer orientation, leadership, initiative, and problem-solvingTools: CRM systems, sales software, MS OfficeLanguage: Fluent in EnglishCompetencies:Strong negotiation skills and the ability to interact with external and internal customers and partners.Superior attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to overcome cultural and language barriers to provide effective solutions.Experience in conducting and handling audits and inspections.Why Join Us?Be part of a global leader in healthcare.Work in a collaborative and innovative environment.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Make a significant impact on the quality and safety of healthcare products.The base pay for this position is N/AIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.JOB FAMILY:Sales ForceDIVISION:ID Infectious DiseaseLOCATION:South Africa : RemoteADDITIONAL LOCATIONS:WORK SHIFT:StandardTRAVEL:NoMEDICAL SURVEILLANCE:NoSIGNIFICANT WORK ACTIVITIES:Not ApplicableOriginally posted on Himalayas
