Sales Manager (Onboarding Specialist)

This is a remote position. Job Highlights Contract: Independent Contractor Schedule: 40 hours a week, Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST (1-hour unpaid break) Overview We’re looking for a driven and hands-on Sales Team Lead to guide and motivate a group of junior sales representatives. In this role, you’ll be responsible for onboarding, training, and coaching reps to hit aggressive sales targets consistently—while keeping morale high and competition fierce. This isn’t a back-office position—it’s part coach, part motivator, and part strategist. If you thrive on leading from the front, building people up, and creating a winning sales culture, this role is for you. What You’ll Do Own the sales performance of a group of junior reps—ensuring they consistently meet or exceed weekly targets Run onboarding and training sessions to set reps up for early wins Coach reps in real time—supporting pitches, objection handling, and closing strategies Maintain accountability by tracking numbers daily, giving direct feedback, and pushing for improvement Motivate the team with contests, leaderboards, and recognition of top performers Act as the bridge between leadership and the reps, sharing insights, blockers, and opportunities Continuously improve the sales playbook based on what’s working on the ground Requirements What We’re Looking For 2–4 years of sales or sales leadership experience (experience with student programs, field sales, or affiliate-style sales is a plus) Proven ability to train, motivate, and hold people accountable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Competitive mindset—you love hitting targets and inspiring others to push beyond theirs Strong communication and relationship-building skills Comfortable tracking KPIs and using data to drive action Ability to thrive in a startup-style environment where speed and adaptability are key Benefits Independent Contractor Perks: Permanent work from home Immediate hiring Steady freelance job Please note that since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection.
