Role and Responsibilities • Deliver friendly and attentive customer service by greeting shoppers and offering assistance as needed. • Operate the register system to scan products, handle customer transactions, accept payments, and provide correct change. • Bag customer purchases and assist with carry-outs when required. • Receive and unpack deliveries, restock shelves, and rotate inventory per company protocols. • Set up and maintain in-store product displays in accordance with visual merchandising guidelines (planograms). • Ensure a clean and organized store environment by taking out trash, mopping, dusting, and maintaining restrooms and backroom areas. • Assemble and manage outdoor promotional displays following direction from store leadership. Required Skills and Experience • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. • Knowledge of basic safety procedures and operational store policies. • Ability to understand and implement merchandising plans and display instructions. • Basic math skills and comfort with cash handling tasks. • Experience operating cash registers and restocking inventory efficiently. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, though not mandatory. Preferred Qualifications • Background in retail or customer service is beneficial. • Able to work effectively in a moderately noisy, high-traffic retail setting. • Physically able to walk, bend, and lift items weighing up to 40 pounds (occasionally up to 55 pounds). • Comfortable using in-store equipment including handheld scanners, price guns, and step ladders (up to six feet high).
