About the Role

The Sales Engineer – Articulated Arms is responsible for driving sales and business growth for Hexagon’s articulated arm measurement solutions in the Dallas, TX region. This role involves identifying customer needs, demonstrating technical capabilities, and building long-term relationships with industrial and manufacturing clients.

What You'll Do

Sales & Business Development
• Drive revenue growth by developing new business opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships.
• Identify key industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, manufacturing) where articulated arms provide high-value solutions.
• Conduct on-site visits, product demonstrations, and technical presentations to prospective customers.

Technical Expertise & Customer Support
• Develop a deep understanding of Hexagon’s articulated arm technologies and their applications in precision measurement.
• Provide technical sales support, including pre-sales consultation and post-sales troubleshooting.
• Work closely with application engineers to deliver tailored measurement solutions.

Account & Relationship Management
• Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and engineers.
• Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and R&D teams to address customer challenges and improve product offerings.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements in alignment with company goals.

Market & Competitive Analysis
• Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
• Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events to promote Hexagon solutions.
• Provide market feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of technical sales experience in metrology, manufacturing, or industrial automation.
• Hands-on experience with articulated arms, CMMs, or portable measurement systems.
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to explain complex measurement solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to travel within the Dallas, TX region (up to 50%).

Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience working with Hexagon measurement solutions or similar metrology tools.
• Knowledge of CAD software and 3D scanning technologies.
• Background in aerospace, automotive, or heavy manufacturing industries.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
