Sales Director - TiDB India

As we expand our presence in India, we're looking for an experienced sales professional who can drive our growth and establish TiDB as a leader in the database market.Job SummaryWe are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Sales Director with a proven track record in enterprise database sales to expand our customer base throughout India. The ideal candidate will have a hunter mentality, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles with enterprise clients.Key ResponsibilitiesAggressively build and maintain a robust sales pipeline across India
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic prospecting
Develop and execute territory sales strategies to exceed revenue targets
Build and nurture relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers
Collaborate with pre-sales, product, and marketing teams to create compelling solutions
Represent TiDB at industry events, conferences, and user groups
Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to help shape product roadmap
Requirements8+ years of enterprise sales experience, with at least 5 years specifically selling database, data infrastructure, or related enterprise software solutions
Proven hunter mentality with demonstrated ability to identify and capture new business
Consistent record of exceeding sales targets and quotas
A strong understanding of database technologies, cloud infrastructure, and data management challenges is highly preferred
Experience selling to technical buyers (CIOs, CTOs, VP Engineering, Enterprise Architects)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred QualificationsExperience with open-source software sales models
Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or distributed database systems is highly preferred
Prior experience at a database, cloud, or infrastructure company
Experience working in a high-growth technology company
