About the Role
As a 1099 Business Development Representative, you’ll operate as an independent contractor responsible for generating new business and nurturing relationships with property management professionals in your territory. This is a field-based, commission-only role with uncapped earning potential—ideal for entrepreneurial-minded individuals with a background in sales, real estate, or smart technology.
Key Responsibilities
• Prospect and engage property managers and HOA boards within your assigned territory.
• Present and demo Amazon Key’s smart access solutions to potential clients.
• Close deals and manage your own sales pipeline from initial outreach to final agreement.
• Provide ongoing client support to ensure satisfaction and continued partnership.
• Report feedback and market insights to Access Pro leadership to help refine strategy.
• Maintain awareness of local market conditions, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
What You Need to Succeed
• Proven experience in field sales or business development (tech, property management, or real estate sectors preferred).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
• Quick to learn new technologies and able to translate them into value for clients.
• Existing network in the Multi-Family or HOA space is a major plus.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
Compensation
This is a commission-only 1099 position. Top contractors earn substantial income with industry-leading commission rates and no cap on performance-based earnings.
