About the Role As a Dealer Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for steering, developing and growing truck sales performance across your assigned dealer network.You’ll work closely with franchise partners to: Drive sales volume and profitabilityEmbed best-in-class sales behaviours and standardsDeliver strategic growth plans aligned to national objectives This is a high-impact, field-based role where relationship management, commercial thinking and performance leadership are key.ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Be Doing Sales Strategy & GrowthLead and deliver dealer sales strategies to achieve truck sales targetsDrive performance across vehicle sales, finance penetration (DTFS), and downstream revenue (CSP)Ensure sustainable growth aligned to national fleet strategy Performance ManagementMonitor and manage dealer performance against franchise standardsIdentify gaps and implement robust action plansEscalate and influence at senior level where required Stakeholder ManagementBuild strong relationships with Dealer Principals, Sales Leaders and ExecutivesCollaborate internally across sales, marketing, finance and planningProvide insight, challenge and strategic direction Sales ExcellenceCoach and influence dealer teams on:Sales techniquesCustomer engagementProduct and pricing strategiesDrive a customer-centric, high-performance sales culture Financial ResponsibilityManage a significant discount budget to support sales objectivesEnsure effective budget control through regular performance trackingWork closely with finance and controlling teams Self-ManagementOperate autonomously across a large geographical areaBalance time between dealer visits and home-based administrationMaintain regular on-site presence with dealer partners QualificationsAbout YouYou’ll bring a strong mix of commercial acumen, relationship skills and drive: ExperienceMinimum 3+ years’ experience in commercial vehicle, equipment or related salesExperience in wholesale, retail or financial services environmentsLeadership or influencing experience preferred Skills & CapabilitiesStrong negotiation and communication skillsAbility to interpret data and translate into actionCommercially astute with an entrepreneurial mindsetExcellent stakeholder management and influencing abilityPassion for customer excellence and continuous improvement RequirementsFull, clean UK driving licenceWillingness to travel extensively Why Join Us?Be part of a market-leading brand in the commercial vehicle sectorWork in a high-visibility, impactful roleCollaborate with a wide network of internal and external stakeholders What we'll give youAs well as the opportunity to work for a great business who are passionate in everything that we do, we'll offer you a competitive salary and discretionary bonus structure.
