Job Title: Membership Representative

We are looking for a friendly and passionate individual to join our team as a Membership Representative. This is a salaried role that offers a great opportunity to start your development path at Sam's Club.

The Membership Representative will play a major part in engaging current members to utilize their available benefits, developing business-to-business relationships to grow membership, and teaching and training associates at the registers, self-check outs, club pick up, and more.

This role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a strong sales background, and enjoys teaching and training peers and associates on selling practices, communicating goals, and providing feedback consistently.

The ideal candidate will have successful leadership qualities with experience in directing sales teams to exceed expectations on results, keep member satisfaction as their top priority, and be able to stand for long periods of time while assisting members quickly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members
• Be in a position of positive influence without direct supervision to obtain the best performance of associates and the facility
• Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have
• Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area while being able to lift, carry, and place merchandise weighing up to 15lbs
What You'll Do:
• Drive membership in the assigned club by communicating goals, results, and feedback
• Ensure signage is updated and all marketing collateral and signage related to membership programs is up to date
• Complete and maintain required documentation and forms
• Enable associate-membership engagement by working cross-functionally with members, managers, and associates to identify training gaps and needs
• Sell memberships in the field and in the club using various techniques
• Communicate with current and prospective members, educate them on membership types, programs, and benefits
• Identify and match member or prospective member needs with appropriate membership benefits, services, or product solutions
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or related field, or 4 years of experience in sales, retail, or related field
• 1 year of sales experience in business-to-business sales
