Title: Safety Coordinator
Department: Safety
Location: Pelham - Remote
(100% travel required)
Reports to: EHS Director
Required Experience: Previous Safety experience is required. Must have three to five years of safety work experience in fast paced Industrial environment.
Preferred Experience: five (5) plus years
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Preferred Education: STSC, Technical training and/or AA degree in technical related field is desired.
Required Certifications: OSHA 30 Certification, OSHA 500 Certification
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for taking a leadership role in promoting Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance on projects in the field and throughout the shops.
• Has the authority to stop and prevent unsafe actions, stop the use of unsafe equipment and tools, and stop work and/or have employees leave a work area.
• Implement company safety policies and continuously monitor the workplace for hazardous safety and health conditions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Complete the investigation of incidents and accidents, identify the root cause, and ensure that all accident reports are recorded in a timely, complete, and accurate manner.
