SaaS UX/Product Designer Needed to Create Figma Specs for Accounts Receivable Module
SaaS UX/Product Designer Needed to Create Figma Specs for Municipal Accounting Software (Accounts Receivable Module)
This role is closer to a product design partner than a graphic designer. I run a SaaS company called FundView, which provides accounting and ERP software for small to mid-size municipalities in the United States.
We are currently designing a new Accounts Receivable module and are looking for a designer who can help translate product requirements into clear Figma designs and developer-ready specifications.
This project will begin with the AR module, but could expand into additional modules if the collaboration works well.

What We Already Have
We have already started the design work internally:
⢠Early product flows and wireframes built in Axure
⢠Product requirements and workflows defined by our internal team
⢠Existing FundView UI patterns and components
⢠A development stack that uses Angular + Kendo UI components
Your role would be to take our requirements and translate them into clean, structured Figma designs that our developers can implement efficiently.

Scope of the First Project (Accounts Receivable Module)
The AR module will include functionality similar to QuickBooks Accounts Receivable, but tailored for municipal governments.
Example functionality includes:
⢠Customer setup and account management
⢠Invoice creation and billing
⢠Payment entry and application
⢠Aging and balance tracking
⢠Credit memos / adjustments
⢠Integration with the General Ledger
⢠Use of shared contact and property tables (already in our system)
Our municipalities typically have 2,000ā15,000 population, so workflows need to remain simple, efficient, and practical for small finance teams.

What We Need From You
You will:
⢠Review our Axure wireframes and notes
⢠Translate them into clean Figma designs
⢠Create structured screens and workflows
⢠Document states, edge cases, and interactions
⢠Ensure the designs align with existing UI patterns
Deliverables should include:
⢠Organized Figma frames
⢠Component usage aligned with our UI library
⢠Clear developer handoff specifications
⢠Logical user flows between screens
________________________________________
Ideal Experience
We are looking for someone who:
⢠Has designed SaaS or ERP software
⢠Has strong Figma system design experience
⢠Understands product workflows, not just UI
⢠Has experience creating developer-ready specifications
⢠Works well with iterative collaboration
Bonus experience:
⢠Accounting software
⢠Financial systems
⢠Complex workflow software
________________________________________
How We Work
You will work directly with:
⢠Me (product lead / founder)
⢠Our internal product assistant
⢠Our development team
We typically:
1.Define the workflow internally
2. Share requirements with the designer
3. Designer creates structured Figma specs
4. We iterate together
5. Developers implement
________________________________________
Project Structure
Initial project:
Accounts Receivable module design
Estimated scope:
~20ā30 screens plus workflow documentation
Timeline:
Flexible, but we prefer steady weekly progress.
If this project goes well, we will continue with additional modules in our ERP system.
________________________________________When Applying
Please include:
⢠Examples of complex SaaS products you designed
⢠Screens that show workflow-heavy software
⢠Confirmation that you are comfortable working from existing wireframes and requirements
If this sounds like a good fit, Iād love to start with a short conversation.
Thank you!
Tami
