About the position

The Rockport Terminal Supervisor - Electrical is responsible for supervising, directing, and participating in all terminal operations and maintenance activities during an assigned shift. This role involves overseeing the unloading and loading of vessels and railcars, ensuring adherence to safety practices, and coordinating with management for seamless operations. The supervisor will also maintain professional relationships with various stakeholders and enforce security regulations.

Responsibilities
? Supervise and direct terminal operations and maintenance activities on assigned shifts.

? Assign work tasks to shift employees.
,
? Ensure adherence to all CSX safe work practices and policies.
,
? Communicate operational and maintenance plans to all pertinent personnel.
,
? Coordinate and supervise railroad union personnel for safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
,
? Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, suppliers, vessel agents, and regulatory agencies.
,
? Enforce regulations related to Homeland Security and the CSX facility security plan.
,
? Perform miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Requirements
? High School Diploma/GED
,
? 4 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Electrical, Engineering or Rail Operations.
,
? Extensive knowledge of terminal electrical maintenance functions including troubleshooting and diagnostics of electrical faults/failures.
,
? Ability to assign and supervise electrical maintenance tasks including inspections and replacement of electrical parts.
,
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
,
? Strong written and oral communication skills.
,
? Knowledge of the transportation or rail industry and understanding of train operations.

Nice-to-haves
? Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree

? 2 or more years of supervisory experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Rail Operations.
