The EU Trustworthy Shopping Experience team is looking for a Risk Manager for the EU Safety listing Control team.You will provide the program and risk management leadership and coordination to ensure tech and other internal stakeholders teams are sensitive to product and food safety program needs and prioritization requirements. These needs directly impact the lives of Customers by enabling them to build confidence in the products Amazon sells online and in physical stores. You'll manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish and working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks and communicate/report clearly with cross-vertical stakeholders. You'll be interacting with different internal and external stakeholders across different time zones.
You will possess strong project management skills, be detail driven and have excellent problem-solving abilities, as well as having a well-rounded technical background in tech solutions.Key job responsibilities
We are looking for an independent and organized self-starter with a solid background on program management to join our team. The candidate requires negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and ownership. The role needs a results-oriented analytical approach to deliver controls at scale, measure progress and improve risk management and/or customer and supplier experience. In this position, the candidate will:
Lead, own and maintain the plan for safety and compliance controls at scale across different product and food categories and businesses.
Influence internal stakeholders and leaders at multiple levels across tech, legal, operations and business areas.
Work across tech, compliance and business teams to drive cross-functional projects
Work with stakeholders to identify resources, assemble project teams, and assign responsibilities.
Assess costs, benefits and risks; anticipate bottlenecks; identify, track and mitigate issues; manage escalations; anticipate and make trade-offs; and balance business needs with technical constraints.
Clearly communicate goals, responsibilities, issues and status to team members and stakeholders.
Drive effective teamwork, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate local and remote groups with conflicting priorities
Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of projects and initiatives with data.
Conduct Ad-hoc data retrieval and analysis using databases, Excel and other data management systems. Draw coherent conclusions from metrics and detail next steps to stakeholders.
About the team
The Listing control team is part of the EU Product Safety team. We work to ensure that all the products offered internationally, across the various Amazon business channels, are safe for our customers, compliant with all food safety legal requirements. We bring SME knowledge and technical expertise leveraging technology solutions to serve Amazon business, suppliers and customers.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in in product management, engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of risk or program management, or relevant risk management working experience in fast moving and complex tech environmentsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSTechnical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, experience evaluating tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members.Strong communication skills [English] to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication (verbal and written) to the right audiences.An understanding of software product development lifecycle and experience in delivering and maintaining complex programs impacting multiple countries.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
