Although we are headquartered in Gibraltar, this is a full time, 100% remote position Work from anywhere!Position overview
This internship is an exciting opportunity for students who are still studying and eager to gain hands-on experience in the Risk Management sector of fintech.
Key Details

Duration: 2 Months (July 6th to August 28th)
Location: While we support a remote setup, interns must be based in Gibraltar for the duration of the program.

What You'll Do
Over the course of the program, you’ll have the chance to work directly with our Risk team. You will be responsible for a combination of daily tasks and ongoing projects, helping us identify, monitor, and manage the different risks that a global fintech faces. This role is perfect for students studying Finance, Business, Mathematics, or a related field who want to see how we keep the company safe and secure.
Responsibilities

Assist the team with organizing risk assessments and helping us keep our safety documentation up to date.
Help us gather the information we need to check that our partners and processes are safe to work with.
Learn about our internal risk policies (like how we prevent fraud) and help us make sure these rules are being followed across the company.
Join people from the Compliance and Finance teams on bigger projects to see how we protect the whole company from financial or operational risks.

Skills needed

You are currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Maths, Law, or a similar field.
Some exposure to data analysis, business ethics, or financial principles through your studies or personal projects is beneficial.
A basic understanding of how a company stays safe from fraud, or how rules (like data privacy) protect a business, is advantageous.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, so you can explain any "red flags" you find and collaborate with the team.
You have a "pattern-seeking eye" and are very careful when looking through data to ensure everything is accurate and safe.
Strong analytical skills with a genuine willingness to learn how a Fintech stays secure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well within a team, with the confidence to ask "why" and raise your hand if something doesn't look right.
Any exposure to risk management frameworks, data visualization (like basic charts), or audit processes is a plus.

Other requirements

A dedicated workspace.
A reliable internet connection with the fastest speed possible in your area.
Alignment with Our Values and the Xapo Values-Driven Leadership principles.
