Retirement Onboarding Document Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized 316 Retirement Plan TPA Onboarding Document Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the onboarding process for new retirement plan clients, with a focus on preparing and ensuring the accuracy of plan documents and compliance materials.
You'll work closely with advisors, plan sponsors, and internal teams to deliver smooth, compliant, and efficient onboarding experience.
What You'll Do
Prepare and review retirement plan documents, including adoption agreements, plan documents, and trust agreements
Ensure all documents meet IRS, ERISA, and internal compliance standards
Manage onboarding workflows from document creation through execution
Communicate with advisors, clients, and internal teams regarding document requirements and timelines
Perform detailed quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
Maintain organized digital records and documentation tracking systems
Input and manage plan and client data in internal systems
Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes and efficiency
Stay current on regulatory updates affecting retirement plan documentation
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
1–3+ years of experience in retirement plans, TPA operations, or financial services
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and time management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with 401(k) or qualified retirement plans
Familiarity with IRS and ERISA regulations
Experience with TPA/document systems (FT William, Relius, ASC, PensionPro)
ASPPA credentials (QKA, QKC) or progress toward certification
