Role Summary
We are hiring a Retention Marketing Manager to lead lifecycle strategy across email, SMS, push, and membership communications. This role is accountable for increasing repeat purchase behavior, subscription upgrades, and long-term engagement across PCH Shopping and related initiatives.
What Youβll Own
Lifecycle Strategy
β’ Build and manage customer journeys:
β’ Onboarding
β’ Abandoned cart
β’ Post-purchase
β’ Winback
β’ Subscription upgrade/downgrade flows
β’ Develop structured segmentation strategies
Membership & Subscription Growth
β’ Design and optimize subscription tier communication
β’ Support upsell initiatives
β’ Reduce churn through proactive engagement programs
Campaign Execution
β’ Oversee promotional calendar
β’ Partner with Creative for campaign assets
β’ Ensure consistent messaging aligned with brand standards
Reporting & Optimization
β’ Track repeat purchase rate, churn, LTV
β’ Conduct cohort analysis
β’ Continuously optimize flows based on performance data
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
β’ Clear lifecycle roadmap established
β’ Improved engagement in at least one automated flow
β’ Identified churn drivers and mitigation plan
β’ Measurable lift in repeat purchase or subscription conversion
Required Experience
β’ 4β7+ years in ecommerce lifecycle marketing
β’ Experience with CRM platforms (Braze, MoEngage, Klaviyo or similar)
β’ Strong understanding of subscription models
β’ Analytical mindset with commercial focus
β’ Understanding of Shopify

β’ A general email production role
β’ A social media marketing role
β’ A purely creative campaign position without data ownership
